Does Your Website Make an Impression?

Have you ever wondered what signals your website is sending to the prospective clients who visit it? Figuring out what patients expect to see from your site can be difficult, but generally, it boils down to the same main principles. Getting these things right means happier patients, more new patients, and more revenue for your business. 

Here’s what your patients want to see when they visit the website for your practice.

Functionality

Nothing – and I do mean nothing – is more annoying than a website that just doesn’t work. If patients can’t navigate your site to find the information they need, they likely won’t be willing to trust you with their care. The key to making sure your website is functional is to test everything. Make sure the links on your site are going to the places they’re supposed to go. If you have forms on your site, fill them out with test data and make sure the data is going to the place it’s supposed to go. 

Contact Information

If people can’t find you, how are they supposed to become your patients? Your contact info should be one of the easiest things for potential patients to find on your website. Don’t make people search for it. 

Your Portfolio

Your potential patients are assessing your practice to see if they want to trust you with their health care. It makes sense to showcase your portfolio so that they can see what your work looks like. Before and after photos are a great way to show off your work and give potential patients some examples of what your work looks like. 

Information About Your Practice

What makes you different from your competition? Why should patients choose you instead of going somewhere else? Your website is your chance to answer these questions and begin a relationship with your prospective patients. 

Mobile Functionality

Chances are, at least a chunk of the visitors who come to your site are doing so on a mobile device. If your site isn’t optimized for mobile, not only are you giving your mobile patients a subpar experience (remember how important functionality is?), but you’re also missing out on a large chunk of potential patients. 

Site Speed

Your site needs to load quickly. How quickly? 2 seconds or less, to be exact. Once your site takes 3 seconds to load, your site bounce rate will start to climb, with 50% of users ditching sites that take longer than 3 seconds. Site speed is one of the best things you can invest in.
